We will be fundraising for local charities at several races in 2012. As plans develop, we will post a calendar of events for these campaigns. Our first initiative:

Ironman 70.3 Panama, Panama City

More Than Sport will partner with YWAM, Homes of Hope and Ironman Foundation to build homes for flood victims in the Darien Gap in the Rep. of Panama following the Ironman 70.3 Panama this February 2012.

In November of 2010 a series of devastating floods swept through the Darien Gap, destroying homes for more than 300 people. To date, 48 homes are in dire need of being rebuilt. Join us to make this dream come true, as we set out to build four homes for the neediest of the families. Help bring hope to the Embera!

Extend your travel 2-3 days after the race to build a whole house or just help for a day. We will also be raising the funds for building materials. Remember, you can partner with MTS to support the charities we identify, or one of your choosing. You can use the IMF platform (accessible from this website), which makes it SO easy to manage. If you are not an Ironman competitor (of any IM race), check back here in January, and we’ll have a platform arranged for you to use. Wear your MTS tee shirt or race kit, and race!
